Software engineers, data specialists and ICT security analysts. Several ICT occupations are on the Green List, and pay often exceeds the skill exemption threshold.

Civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineers, plus technicians. Chartered registration through Engineering New Zealand supports residence points.

Dairy, horticulture and viticulture. Seasonal roles run through the Recognised Seasonal Employer scheme; permanent roles use the AEWV.

Secondary teachers in shortage subjects and early childhood educators. Teaching Council registration is required before you can be employed.
